Jim and Jaylene Andersen celebrated their 50th wedding Anniversary on Jan. 14, 2022. They were married in the Logan Temple in 1972. Jim and Jaylene met in their 4-H club showing dairy cattle. Jaylene is a great horsewoman and Jim knew ever since he watched Calamity Jane that he wanted to be with a cowgirl. It didn’t hurt that she was not afraid to get dirty. Jim was interested in machinery and farm work from a very young age. The young couple decided to work on the family farm. A farm life is more than an occupation, it’s is a way of life. They raised 6 hardworking children who have all been successful in their personal and professional lives. Jim and Jaylene enjoyed serving The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as Conference Center tour guides for 5 years between 2015 and 2020. They enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and made life long friendships with their fellow service missionaries. Their pride and joy is their family, especially their 22 grandchildren.
