Fire crews are working to put out a house fire on Mt. Logan Dr in the Cliffside area of Logan.
The call came in around 5 p.m. By the time crews arrived smoke was visible pouring out of the home's attic, and the roof became engulfed in flames.
According to the homeowners, Devin and Lindsey Staker, everyone was able to get out of the house, except the family's three cats.
The couple said they were the only ones home when their smoke detector started going off. They were initially unable to find the source of the smoke, despite searching the whole house.
Lindsey said she eventually started to hear a sound coming from the walls, and they noticed the ceiling of their bathroom starting to brown, at which point they called 911.
"Within 20 seconds, while I was on the phone with the fire department, smoke started pouring out of the attic," Devin said.
The Stakers said they managed to get their four dogs out of the house, but the firefighters wouldn't let them go back for their cats.
Devin said investigators have no idea how the fire started.
