MONTEVIEW, Idaho — Police are advising the public that two teens last seen in Monteview may be headed to a Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints group in Utah.
Idaho State Police issued an Amber Alert for two children — 13-year-old boy Allen Fischer and 15-year-old girl Rachelle Fisher — on Monday afternoon.
State police say the pair were last seen at 7 p.m. Sunday in Monteview, a small farming town in Jefferson County about 75 miles north of Blackfoot.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday received a report of the two missing Monteview teens. They are believed to be heading to Utah, possibly to Trenton or Mendon, authorities said.
The children are possibly traveling in a gray Honda or Hyundai sedan with Utah license plates. Allen is described as being 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds with longer sandy blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.
Rachelle is described as being 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a green dress.
Elintra Dee Fischer, now 18, was reported missing on January 1, 2023, the sheriff's office said. Elintra is the sister of Allen and Rachelle and has not been located at this time. It is believed the children willingly left to return to Utah due to religious beliefs, according to the sheriff’s office.
Anyone with any information about the missing teens should call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 208-745-9210 option 7.
