We are delighted to announce the 90th birthday celebration of RoMae Hill, a cherished member of our family and community.
RoMae Hill was born on February 27, 1935, in Logan, Utah, to Glen and Leone Earl. Also, two older brothers, who she adored, were Glenn and Elliot. Throughout her youth, she lived in Boise and Bellevue. She graduated from East High School in 1953.
In the fall of 1953, RoMae attended Utah State University, where she joined the Kio Mega Sorority. It was during this time that she met her future husband, Frank Hill, at Casper’s Ice Cream in Logan. After Frank served an LDS Mission in New York he came home to see a newspaper article announcing that he and RoMae were to be married on September 17th, 1956, which they were, in the Logan Temple on that date.
Together, RoMae and Frank have been blessed with four children: Scott, Steve (Holly), Sandi (John), and Mike (deceased)(Cassie). Their family has grown to include eleven beautiful grandchildren and fourteen amazing great-grandchildren, all of whom bring immense joy to RoMae’s life.
RoMae dedicated over 25 years working at Ellis Elementary School in Logan, where she positively impacted countless young lives. In her leisure time, Frank and her enjoy traveling with friends and family and spending three months each year in St. George.
RoMae’s greatest joy comes from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, serving others in her community and we would be amiss if we did not mention her love for her dogs she has had over the years.
Anyone who knows RoMae will tell you that she consistently sees the best in people, faces every challenge with a cheerful outlook, and always expresses gratitude for her blessings. She finds the silver lining in even the gloomiest situations. RoMae loves to smile and laugh, often finding humor in her own shortcomings and life experiences. Being in her presence makes you a better person.
