With summer just around the corner, both Logan City School District and Cache County School District are preparing to offer a summer lunch program through the Seamless Summer Option food service program.
Logan City School District Children 18 years old and younger in Logan will have access to free meals and snacks this summer through the program, which ensures children continue receiving nutritious meals when school is not in session.
According to a media release from the Logan City School District, from June 2 to July 17, free lunches will be provided from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Thursday at Logan High School. The service will be closed June 16.
The district will also provide free snacks during the same period, June 2 to July 17, at Adams Park and Willow Park. Children can pick up snacks from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
No snacks will be available June 16, June 30, July 1, July 2 or July 3.
The program is open to all children 18 years old and younger in the community. Kids do not need to be students at Logan High School or Logan City School District.
Seamless Summer Option is a component of the National School Lunch Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service.
Cache County School District According to the CCSD’s website, it will participate in the same program, available from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, from June 9 to July 10, with the exception of June 19.

Lincoln Elementary
Nibley Elementary
Summit Elementary
Sunrise Elementary
White Pine Elementary
There will be no public restrooms available and no adult meals will be offered.
