Back to School Clothing SwapBear River Middle School will hold its annual Back to School Clothing Swap from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2 and Saturday, Aug. 3 in the gym at the middle school, 300 E. 1500 South, Garland.
Donations of gently used clothing, school supplies, and backpacks can be dropped off at Bear River Middle School Gym from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following days: July 25-30, Aug. 1. Setup will be 2-8 p.m. Aug. 1.
Everyone is welcome to come and get “free” donated clothing items and supplies and cereal donated by Post.

United Way seeks backpack donationsFrom now through Aug. 15, United Way of Northern Utah is collecting new backpacks through its “Stuff the Bus” initiative for students throughout Box Elder, Morgan, and Weber counties.
United Way is looking for donations of new backpacks for kids from preschool up through high-school ages. The organization has partnered with local businesses that become “Bus Stops” where people can drop off backpacks.
Bus Stop locations in Box Elder County currently include Bank of Utah, Elevate Credit Union, First Community Bank, Kent’s Market, Smith’s and Zions Bank in Brigham City; and Elevate Credit Union in Garland. Other businesses wishing to participate can contact Tayler Campbell at tcampbell@uwnu.org to learn how.
